Nekyia: A Cacophony of Shades
This piece is a chaotic explosion of fragmented colors and forms, representing Ulysses' descent into the Underworld (Nekyia). It is not one single emotion, but a sensory and psychological overload. Each color could be a different ghost clamoring for his attention: the sorrow of his mother, the pride of Achilles, the warning of Tiresias. The painting visually captures the disorienting, terrifying, and profoundly sorrowful experience of being surrounded by the clamor of the dead and the full weight of his past and future.
