SONGS FOR THE LOST SELF

This collection draws from The Odyssey as an inner epic, tracing the evolving states of Ulysses’ consciousness under prolonged exile. Stripped of fixed identity, time, and certainty, the mind becomes fluid—shifting between cunning and erasure, longing and restraint, lucidity and surrender.

The works explore consciousness as a contested terrain where mythic forces emerge as psychological ones: desire that imprisons, beauty that anesthetizes, knowledge that wounds, and memory that refuses rest. Survival is not heroic but adaptive, requiring disappearance as often as resistance.

Across the collection, the journey unfolds as a descent and resurfacing of the self. Identity is fractured, haunted by voices of the dead and the promise of oblivion, yet held together by endurance and remembrance. Home exists not as a place, but as a fragile internal construct—sustained by memory, loss, and the quiet refusal to forget.
